Fitness that’s ‘Strictly’ fun comes to Eton Wick with Learn To Dance

FitSteps LogoIt’s time to put on your dancing shoes, even if you can’t dance! LearnToDance in Eton Wick is about to go ‘Strictly’ mad with brand new FitSteps classes starting from 8.30pm on Tuesday 4th & 10am on Wednesday 5th February at the Eton Wick Village Hall, Eton Wick Road, Eton Wick, SL4 6LT.

‘Strictly Come Dancing’ dance stars Natalie Lowe and Ian Waite have teamed up with six time world champion swimmer Mark Foster, a former Strictly contestant and an expert in fitness and conditioning, to produce a unique dance and fitness programme – ‘FitSteps’.

Antony with Ian WaiteThey have combined, for the first time, the best known and most popular Latin and Ballroom dances with proven fitness techniques, to develop a dance/fitness programme that is capable of delivering fast fitness results, with a heap of fun thrown in!

Just look at what some of the lucky people who’ve already had the chance to try FitSteps have been saying:

  • ‘It was like a dream I really enjoyed it’
  • ‘It was fab! Good and easy to follow’
  • ‘YES! YES!’
  • ‘Absolutely give it a go; you’ll love it!!’
  • ‘You should go because it is amazing’
  • Do it and you feel like you’re on STRICTLY!!
  • It was brilliant! Fun and fitness combined.
  • A workout that doesn’t feel like it, it’s so much fun!!
  • Great fun, great music and a great workout, without even realising it.
  • Great workout, fun, and makes you feel like a star!!!

And for anyone who’s thinking, ‘But I can’t dance’ or ‘I don’t have anyone to dance with’, there’s no excuse – you don’t have to able to dance and you don’t need a partner! You just have to want to get fit and have fun.

Strictly Come Dancing 2012 – Week 11

BBC Strictly 2012 Line-up
Five couples remaining, and now they have to perform two dances each. This should really test their dance abilities and we could see quite a few mistakes tonight I fear. Continue reading

Strictly Come Dancing 2012 – Week 10

BBC Strictly 2012 Line-up
This week we have a new concept (well to Strictly anyway, I believe they tested it out on Dancing With The Stars previously) of a dance fusion, either two dances performed within the same song seamlessly, or a split half-way through.

We’ve seen professionals perform these type of dances at shows before, and I’ve choreographed and performed dance fusions before. These could be amazing, or a complete car crash…let’s hope for amazing!

Strictly Come Dancing 2012 – Week 9

BBC Strictly 2012 Line-up
So we’re down to 7 contestants and Michael has a Samba…that’s got bottom two written all over it!

We actually managed to watch the show on Saturday night for once, though we didn’t start until ridiculously late so thought we’d leave the update til Monday morning as usual.

3 weeks to go until the final, and it’s starting to get harder to say “they should definitely go this week” so we’ll just have to wait for their performances to be sure!

Strictly Come Dancing 2012 – Week 8

BBC Strictly 2012 Line-up
Sorry for the delay in the blog this week but our hosting company appeared to have a major meltdown of their servers where our database is stored, the website still worked but the blog was unavailable even to draft a post.

Anyway on to Saturday night’s show.

Is it just me or should they really have waited until there were only 6 left before doing a friends skit?!

Strictly Come Dancing 2012 – Week 7: Dance Through The Decades

BBC Strictly 2012 Line-up
Just when you thought we were safe from themed weeks it appears tonight at Wembley is going to be ‘Dance Through The Decades’, why can’t we just have dance through the show instead?!

You can definitely see that this is designed to be a higher budget show, amazing what a difference it makes when you’re charging people for tickets (although hopefully a large chunk is going to Children in Need).

Bruce’s intro is just painful for us tonight but (4 repeats of ‘nice to see you’ later) it thankfully moves on to the ‘stars of our show’…oh dear it’s not over yet – cue en masse Gangnam Style.

Strictly Come Dancing 2012 – Week 6

BBC Strictly 2012 Line-up
30 seconds in to the opening VT and Emma (the wife) has already declared the pairing of Tess & Claudia to be better than Brucie & Tess…think I’ll reserve judgement for now but I think I’m probably going to agree with her.

Is Tess playing Brucie today, or has she dressed as a pseudo-man just for fun?

Anyway our stars are introduced, Artem has his chest out again so obviously their dance must be bad again this week, but everyone else doesn’t look too bad…apart from Brendan’s hat???
